Here’s a little comparison for you folks. Priyanka Chopra’s 2019 was pretty luke-warm with movies like Isn’t It Romantic and The Sky is Pink under her belt. Richard Madden’s 2019 was epic with Golden Globe and Oscar-nominated movies like Rocketman and 1917.

The Russo Brothers defined the year by presenting their monumental achievement called Avengers: Endgame. And now all of them are going to cross streams for our entertainment’s sake in a TV series called Citadel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show is going to be an action-driven spy series that will feature interconnected, local-language versions of the story in several other countries.

The announcement about a local version being produced in Mexico, along with the ones in Italy and India, was made during the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour on Tuesday. And the ‘mothership’ version of Citadel will start in the U.S. and star Madden and Chopra.

The report also stated that Amazon had initially unveiled this ambitious project in July 2018. But now they’ve confirmed that they’re going ahead with it. I think this is a pretty risky task because multi-layered storytelling is usually done one at a time.

I have no idea how they’re going to this global project simultaneously. The only people who probably do know what’s up are Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg because they are serving as writers and executive producers of the series, along with Moran, Mike Larocca, and the Russo brothers.

The Italian series will be overseen by Amazon Studios, Cattleya, and ITV studios and the Indian one will be developed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.

Chopra excitedly took to Twitter to announce her involvement in Citadel.

As mentioned before, Citadel is an elaborate project that needs all the attention in the world from its makers. However, since people like the Russos, Raj and D.K. are involved, I think we can be excited about it instead of fearing for it to be an absolute mess.
